Stardust
Once upon a time we were stardust
Supernovae blow out in their birth light
Cold, alone we sought each other out
Pulled together in gravity's love throughout
From the seed of night, life would ignite
Brought to the heart love in stardust...
Reaching beyond the Earth's crust
Peeling back it's own black blight
Pushing back the empty drought
Into sunlight came the devout
Claiming all life is alight
And seeing reason in stardust...
Change:
We weep - We laugh
We hate - We love
We lose - We win
We live - We die
I brought you in deed of trust
To see you live in my delight
With you I would scream and shout
Love has us beyond any doubt
To be with you I would fight
And see you when we're stardust...
